Terms of Use

Effective June 2026 · last reviewed June 2026 · er-toolkit.com

By using ER Toolkit (er-toolkit.com, the “Site”), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1 · Educational purpose — not medical, legal, or billing advice

The Site is an educational reference about emergency-department documentation. It is not medical advice, not a clinical protocol, not legal advice, and not a coding or billing service. All example language is original and synthetic. Nothing here substitutes for your own clinical judgment, your institution's policies, or qualified professional advice. You remain solely responsible for every clinical decision and every word that enters a patient's chart.

2 · No patient information

The tools run entirely in your browser; nothing you type is transmitted to or stored on a server. Even so, do not enter patient-identifying information into the Site. Anything you choose to save (such as personal phrases) is stored only on your own device.

3 · Intellectual property & permitted use

The Site and all of its contents — the code, design, guides, tool text, example phrasing, and the structured clinical pack data — are the original work of Kim Trinh, MD, © 2026, all rights reserved. You are granted a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to use the Site for your own personal clinical education and practice. You may not, without prior written permission:

  • copy, republish, redistribute, sell, or commercially exploit the Site or any substantial part of its content or data;
  • scrape, bulk-download, or systematically extract the content or the pack/phrase data;
  • use the content or data to train, fine-tune, or augment any AI/ML system or derivative product;
  • remove copyright notices or present the work as your own.

Referenced clinical decision instruments (HEART, PERC, Ottawa rules, PECARN, and others) remain the work of their respective authors and are cited to the source literature.

4 · No warranty

The Site is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied — including accuracy, completeness, currency, or fitness for a particular purpose. Medicine changes; despite care, errors are possible. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kim Trinh, MD shall not be liable for any damages arising from use of, or reliance on, the Site.

5 · Changes

These terms and the Site may change at any time; continued use after a change constitutes acceptance. Material changes will update the effective date above.

6 · Permissions & contact

For licensing, reuse, partnership inquiries, or to report a correction, contact the copyright holder, Kim Trinh, MD, in writing. See the About page for authorship and review details.
